Appointments

Please call our main switchboard number on 0208 997 4215 to book an appointment.  If your condition is non-urgent, you can usually expect to see a GP within a few days, although you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP.

We also offer same day appointments in case of emergency.  Typically patients need to call first thing (i.e. 08:00) in order to secure one of these slots.  If no same day appointments are available, the receptionist will take your name and contact details so that the doctor can ring you to discuss the issue.  If it is felt that you should still be seen the same day, you will be fitted in as an extra patient.

We also offer on the day bookable appointments which are available every day except Thursday.  These can be booked from 08:00 when surgery is open and are usually afternoon slots.

You also have the option to book up to four weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Extended Hours

To accommodate patients who find it difficult to make an appointment during normal hours, we also run an extended clinic on Monday evenings until 20:00 and Wednesday evenings until 20.00. Please note that this clinic has pre-bookable appointments only.

Online Booking

To book an appointment using our online booking facility click on the link at the top of this page.  Please note that to use this facility you need to register for online appointment access by requesting an account for this service from reception.

Role of reception

Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you. Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.

What do I do in an emergency

If you need urgent medical advice during surgery hours, please phone the surgery. Please be prepared to give some information to the receptionist. If you need to see a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed please phone the surgery and follow the instructions.

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.

Why might it be difficult to get an appointment

The surgery is particularly busy on Mondays and Tuesdays especially during the winter months.  If you let us know as soon as possible you can't attend your appointment, we can then make it available for another patient. If we can’t offer you an immediate appointment, we may phone back to offer you a cancellation slot. You can call to have a telephone consultation with a doctor if you wish. He or she will ring you at the end of morning or evening surgery on the telephone number you have given.
